SQT Christopher Lewis a member of the Ohio National Guard 37^th Infantry Brigade Combat Team presented a flag flown at Camp Patriot, Kuwait Naval Base, to Superintendent Kevin Spears and Governing Board President John Croft of the East Central Ohio Educational Service Center’s Governing Board at their Board Meeting held on Monday, December 14^th.  SQT Lewis is employed by the ESC as an IT Systems Administrator and was deployed to active duty from January 8^th through late December, 2008 where he served in Kuwait and at Camp Black Horse in Afghanistan during Operation Iraqi Freedom.

Superintendent Kevin Spears of the East Central Ohio Educational Service Center presented service awards to outgoing Governing Board Members John M. Croft of Sugarcreek and Jack E. Polen of Malvern during their Governing Board meeting held on Monday, December 14^th.  Mr. Croft, President of the Governing Board, has served 11 years as a member of the ESC Governing Board and 8 years on the Garaway Local School Board.  Mr. Polen has 32 years of service as a Board Member.  He served on the Brown Local Schools Board for 22 years before becoming a member of the ESC’s Governing Board the past 10 years.
