ASL World Language

Live, Remote Option

Let's Learn More About
American Sign Language!

Site Visits

ASL instructors plan quarterly on-site visits to support their daily virtual instruction.

Classroom Visits

ASL II and III students visit their district elementary schools to teach young learners some signs.

Class Life

Students remain in their brick and mortar building while the ASL teacher joins daily via zoom for instruction.

  • ASL instructors are properly licensed, or working towards proper ODE licensure, allowing ASL credit as a World Language option should the district choose it.
  • College Credit Plus is an available option.
  • FY23 school year includes 10 ASL instructors, teaching 1016 students in 16 unique school districts throughout Ohio.
  • Classes are live, daily, via Zoom.
  • Students are taught ASL as a world language, using ACTFL targets and ODE standards alignment for Unit design.
  • Daily class instruction is not shared with other sites; your students are paired with their teacher as a single connection.
  • Classroom supervision at your location can be flexible.

As a long-standing live, daily interactive course provider, ECOESC is well-versed in delivering ASL as a World Language. We provide a strong team of connected ASL instructors, technology support for those teachers, and support for your building as you begin this virtual journey. We invite you to watch two short class videos to better understand what this can look like in your buildings! Scan the QR codes below to see a snippet of 2 class recordings. We’d like to help you add American Sign Language to your district next year. We would love to join your team!
