Administrative Assistant (Full-time)

East Central Ohio Educational Service Center

The East Central Ohio ESC is seeking a personable and organized Administrative Assistant to serve as the primary point of contact for Belmont County ESC offices.  This position will work closely with the Administration Team to provide high-level administrative support in all areas of the ESC.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma; Associates degree preferred
  • Valid Driver’s license
  • Record free of criminal violations that would prohibit public school employment
  • Prior office administration experience preferred

 

Responsibilities:

The following duties and responsibilities are representative of performance expectations, but are not considered all-inclusive:

  • Provides high-level administrative support to the ECOESC leadership team
  • Greets visitors, answers phones and directs inquiries to the appropriate ECOESC staff member(s)
  • Oversees basic office needs by maintaining supplies, placing orders, scheduling equipment repairs, distributing/sending mail, etc.
  • Coordinates, schedules, and confirms meetings for the ECOESC leadership as requested; arranges travel and accommodations as appropriate
  • Helps to coordinate meetings and events at the assigned office, including room reservations and set-up, basic technology support, catering, and clerical support
  • Prepares and/or maintains documents and spreadsheets as requested
  • Collects data and conducts research (within skills and expertise) to assist with projects or inquiries
  • Completes student records requests for transfers and prepares documentation
  • Manages the on-boarding, renewals & tracking of substitute teachers for Ohio Substitute Teacher Services
  • Schedules and conducts BCI/FBI background checks; ensures proper documentation is received and handles payments accordingly
  • Performs various secretarial and administrative duties that support the ESC team
  • Maintains files and follows record retention procedures
  • Performs other specific job-related duties as directed

 

Additional Details:

  • Some flexibility with hours will be required for events during the school year
  • Primary location will be St. Clairsville, but some travel and work may be scheduled at the preschool and ECO Center locations
