The East Central Ohio ESC is an authorized testing site for the ETS ParaPro Assessment — the nationally recognized exam required for paraprofessionals working in Title I schools and programs. We offer convenient, regularly scheduled test dates at our New Philadelphia location, making it easy for candidates across the region to meet their certification requirements.
About the ParaPro Assessment
The ETS ParaPro Assessment measures the skills and knowledge of paraprofessionals in reading, mathematics, and writing — as well as the ability to apply those skills in the classroom. A passing score demonstrates that a paraprofessional meets the federal requirements under the Every Student Succeeds Act (ESSA) for working in Title I instructional roles.

$80, payable to the East Central Ohio ESC. No refunds for no-shows.
What to Bring
A valid, official government-issued photo ID is required for registration. No ID, no test.

8:30 AM — Check-in & registration
8:45 AM — Test-taking tutorial
9:00–11:30 AM — Official ParaPro Assessment
Scores are provided automatically upon completion.
Retesting Policy
Candidates must wait a minimum of 30 days before retaking the ParaPro Assessment.

Test dates are offered throughout the year on both weekdays and Saturdays. Contact Stacy Sanders to check upcoming availability and reserve your spot. Seating is limited, so early registration is encouraged.
