2025 Belmont County’s 2nd Annual Celebration of the Arts

The Celebration of the Arts highlighted the talents and giftedness of Belmont County students from elementary through high school. This celebration included the Annual Belmont County High School Art Show, March 27-30, 2025, the visual arts showcase of elementary and middle school art displays March 28-30, 2025, and performances on Saturday, March 29, 2025.

The High School Art Show included around 250 displays from Barnesville Exempted Village Schools, Bellaire Local Schools, Bridgeport Exempted Village Schools, Martins Ferry City Schools, Shadyside Local Schools, St. Clairsville-Richland City Schools, and Union Local Schools. The top 5 from each district were chosen for the Teachers’ Choice Awards and given a ribbon. The top 3 from each district became the Top 21 and received a rosette ribbon plus a $20.00 Amazon gift card. The public voted for their favorite piece – The People’s Choice. The winner of the People’s Choice received a large rosette ribbon and a $20.00 Amazon gift card. Five students from each district received a Merit Award ribbon.

Showcase of art and performers included:

Art Displays from Barnesville, Bridgeport, Martins Ferry, Shadyside, St. Clairsville, and Union Local schools.

Performances from Bridgeport Exempted Village Schools: 1 guitar solo, 3 vocal solos, and a duet: voice and tenor saxophone.

From St. Clairsville-Richland City Schools – grades 3 & 4 The Music Makers and a piano solo. The performers did a fantastic job!!

Each student who participated in the Celebration of the Arts received a Certificate of Participation.
