ECOESC Celebrates Schumacher's Tenure

New Philadelphia, OH – The East Central Ohio Educational Service Center (ECOESC) celebrated the service of Phillip Schumacher during his last board meeting on Monday, December 20th, 2021. Shumacher has over 35 years of board service in Tuscarawas county, 31 of those years with the ECOESC. During his tenure, Shumacher was on the board that approved the purchase and remodel of the current New Philadelphia office (formerly an IGA, as Schumacher noted as spoke) and, more recently, the new Cambridge office.
Schumacher has seen the ESC through the transition from the county board of education to educational service center, a change that has brought on member districts from 4 additional counties outside of Tuscarawas. Schumacher spoke on his service during the meeting, stating, “I truly feel that our current administration has put together a… very good team… It’s all about cooperation.” He went on to note that two of his biggest points of pride as a board member of the ESC are the alternative schools and the information technology services. The board members wish to thank Phillip Schumacher for his service and wish him a wonderful retirement!
