ECOESC Offers Pre-Apprenticeship Programs through Local Schools
The ECOESC Career Connected Learning Coordinator, Keri Rosser, has been working alongside Career Navigators and school districts to offer pre-apprenticeships in an effort to increase student opportunities for Industry-Recognized Credentials and alternative graduation pathways. ApprenticeOhio has approved ECOESC as a Registered Pre-Apprenticeship Sponsor, which has allowed us to develop programs in several industry pathways. Currently, students have the opportunity to earn credentials in the following industries: Agriculture, Food and Natural Resources, Education and Training, Health Science, Hospitality & Tourism, Information Technology, and Manufacturing
Students can earn points toward graduation through approved pre-apprenticeship programs.
Pre-apprenticeships can count towards both the “Show Competency” and the “Show Readiness” portions of the graduation options. Through these programs, students can earn points toward the Industry-Recognized Credential Seal, the OhioMeansJobs Readiness Seal, and other local seals.
