The ECOESC is seeking an ELL Interpreter to work with students and their families at Dover City Schools.  This is a part-time position.

Minimum Qualifications:

• ODE Permit or License applicable to position
• Proficient in Spanish
• Record free of criminal violations which would prohibit public school employment

Job Responsibilities:

• Interpret/translate content area vocabulary and instruction in Spanish for students on case load
• Interpret/translate communication in Spanish between school staff and parents/guardians/sponsors of students at meetings, on phone calls, or during home visits (if required)
• Assist student students in the understanding of content material and vocabulary
• Provide accommodation of interpreting or translating of classroom assessments under the direction of the classroom teacher
• Communicate with general education classroom teachers regarding student needs
• Participate in after-school activities as requested by building administration (i.e., parent/teacher conferences, open hours, meet the teacher, etc.)
