The East Central Ohio ESC is excited to announce a new service! We now offer tutoring in reading using the Orton-Gillingham Approach!

An Orton-Gillingham trained teacher is available for one-hour tutoring sessions from 3:00-approx 8:00 pm, Monday through Thursday. Special arrangements can be made with the consent of the teacher for additional times. The cost is $45.00 an hour.

The Orton-Gillingham theory combines multi-sensory techniques along with the structure of the English language. Multi-sensory education incorporates the three learning pathways: auditory, kinesthetic, and visual.

Orton-Gillingham is a proven, effective approach in helping dyslexic or struggling readers find success.
